After a hard day on the ski slopes, delve into the Park City music scene to experience not only national acts but also a variety of the local talent.

Only years ago listed as a ghost town, Park City, Utah is a now bustling ski town located just 30 miles from Salt Lake City. The city has three major ski resorts: Deer Valley Resort, The Canyons, and Park City Mountain Resort which were home to many of the events of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Park City is also home to a growing local music scene, so make sure to kick back and enjoy the local tunes après ski style. Check out Park City Live Music for current listings.

The Spur Bar and Grill – 352 Main Street

The Spur has a great western après ski vibe, a cozy dance floor, and comfortable seating next to a fireplace. The crowd is usually a pretty casual ski crowd from 20-something vacationers to 50+ local ski bums. The Spur offers live music nearly every night during the winter season and ranges from bluegrass and folk to good old rock and roll and western styled country.

The Sidecar – 333 Main Street

The Sidecar is Park City’s premiere pizza-parlor bar-nightclub. Winner of Salt Lake Magazines “Best Bar Pizza”, Fat Kid Pizza is one of the only places in town to get food until 1am. The Sidecar has music every night of the week starting with an open mic on Mondays, swing music complete with dance lessons on Tuesdays, live local bands on Wednesday through Saturday, and finishing the week on Sunday with drink specials and the hottest local DJs.

The Star Bar – 268 Main Street

The Star Bar (formerly known as the Plan B nightclub) is located on the top of Main Street. One of the hippest bars in Park City, the unique and colorful Star Bar was designed by Hollywood art director Bruce Miller. The Star Bar offers a mix of live reggae, funk, rock music and DJs nearly every night during the winter season. The bar also has a large dance floor, pool tables, and a chill lounge in the back of the bar. The Star Bar is the official music venue for the Sundance Film Festival.

Harry O’s – 427 Main Street

Harry O’s has the largest stage and dance floor in Park City. Harry O’s weekend DJs pack in quite the singles, clubbing scene. This Park City club also boasts an excellent live music line-up including national acts as diverse as bluegrass and jam bands to rock, rap and reggae. Covers and drinks tend to be pricey.

Harry O’s is also home to the first annual FREE Park City Winter Concert Series, which is sponsored by the Canyons Resort. Concerts are held on Thursdays from 8-10pm. See the Canyons Resort for the line-up and additional details.
