Whether after a hard day on the ski slopes or mountain biking in the summer - Main Street Park City has many nightlife options from chill mountain bars to bumpin' clubs.

Main Street in Park City has several awesome pubbing and clubbing scenes. What follows is a few recommended hot spots in Park City as well as the low down on Utah alcohol laws.

Utah Liquor Laws Explained

Utah is well-known for its quirky alcohol laws, yet finding a good drink in Utah is not impossible. Most bars are considered 'private clubs' and calling bars private clubs is just a creative way to get around Utah's absurd and outdated laws. In order to get inside a private club you must pay a membership fee which is around $4 for three weeks. This temporary membership allows the member and 7 of his/her guests to enter the club.

Once in the club you may order alcoholic beverages without the purchase of food (you can only order alcohol in a restaurant if you are also purchasing food). All draft beer purchased in restaurants and private clubs is 3.2%. In private clubs you can purchase full strength beer in bottles. Other quirky laws limit the amount of alcohol that can be served in a mixed drink. It is best to ask the bartender for advice when ordering a mixed drink.

No Name Saloon at 447 Main

A favorite of locals, the No Name Saloon is super casual and definitely caters to the outdoor recreating crowd. The decor is colorful and random and is the prototype for all good mountain town bars. Take a turn on the shuffleboard table, catch a sports game, or mingle with the locals. No Name Saloon is a great place to kick back after a ski day or a chill way to start out the night.

O'Shucks Bar and Grill at 427 Main

Right next door to the No Name Saloon is O'Shucks Bar and Grill where peanut shucks gracefully fill the floor. Super rustic, slightly dingy ski decor make this place a favorite for the young tourist and ski bum local crowd. O'shucks is great for late night-dining with the grill being open until 1 am. Hang on the patio in the summer time or warm up alongside the crowds in the winter.

JB Mulligans at 804 Main

Another local's favorite, Mulligans is located on the bottom of Main Street. This super chill and cozy bar is a favorite for those looking for a mellow evening. Occasional music, pool tables, and an assortment of games make this place excellent for those wishing for a casual way to mingle with the locals and tourists. Have a Guinness on draft and relax in this friendly atmosphere.

Wasatch Brewery at 250 Main

Located on the top of Main, the Wasatch Brewery is Utah's first brewery. Founder and Brewmaster, Greg Schirf, came straight from America’s beer capital, Milwaukee, WI, and has been irritating Utah’s dominant church and politicos ever since. Enjoy the famous Polygamy Porter in the brewery restaurant or in the private club, the Brew Pub Cantina.

Harry O's at 427 Main

For those looking for the upscale clubbing scene, Harry O's is definitely the place to be. Harry O's has the largest stage, dance floor, and singles scene in Park City. Boasting national live acts and popular DJs - Harry O's is the place to bust out those clubbing clothes and rocking attitude.

Spur Bar and Grill at 352 Main

For live music, visit the Spur in the alley across from Harry O's. The Spur offers live music nearly every night of the week in the winter and great live acts in the summer and fall. The crowd is a pretty casual outdoorsy crowd and the western decor makes this an excellent place to get a little taste of the local environment.
